The first two rounds of the single-elimination playoff complete and as the dust settles there is one ÉDS team remaining in the MSEA Middle Years Rocket League Playoffs - The ÉDS Red Dragons. So how did we get here?
In the A Division all of our ÉDS teams fought valiantly. With three ÉDS teams, the White, Green and Blue Dragons all playing an opening Round 1 match, they stood resilient. Only the Blue Dragons fell in the first round to one of the regular season's top teams, the Lockport Lancers, while White and Green moved on through tough opposition by Marion School and Frontenac School. The Black Dragons survived an early scare from the SMS Red Panthers who came in with only two players, but put up a valiant fight and actually took one of the Best-of-5 games in the match! The Red Dragons had a bye in the first round.
However the second round proved too difficult as the competition increased, we watched as the White, the Green, and the Black Dragons all fall to their competition, while the Red Dragons took advantage of the break offered by their first round Bye to 3-0 their opponents from General Vanier. What an exciting week of Rocket League!
