École Dugald School set to host the MSEA Brawlhalla Esport Playoffs February 18!

École Dugald School and the ÉDS Dragons are set to host the Manitoba School Esports Association (MSEA) Brawlhalla playoffs on Saturday, February 18th.  Schools from all over the province have been invited to experience the event in-person, with the Top-10 teams in the province competing for a chance to win the title of Manitoba's Top Middle Years 2v2 Brawlhalla team!

Schools who don't make it in the Top-10 have also been invited to bring their esports teams to take part in the community event.  The gym will be hopping as competitors, coaches, parents, and families come together to watch some exciting esport action, and partake in some social gaming opportunities.

Final announcements of teams and seedings won't be made until after the last-chance Wild Card Qualifying tournament happening on Thursday, February 16th.

While this is a community event, all students are expected to be supervised. Doors open at 10:15am to teams, check-in starts at 10:20am, and the first round of matches begin at 11:00am.  The tournament will be completed by 3:00pm.

Are you a teacher or an admin interested in having esports in your school?  MSEA would love to have you come to the event and can answer any questions you have about offering this experience to your students.  Please reach out to [email protected] to learn more.

École Dugald School and the ÉDS Dragons would also like to thank our event sponsors/partners.  Big thanks go to Sunrise School Division for supporting the event and donating the facility use, and to Oakbank Pizza Hut who are donating pizza for the competitors.  Thanks also to the staff of ÉDS for their work in organizing the event.  If you are interested in supporting or sponsoring the event, please reach out to [email protected] for more information!
