Basketball Info

Practices (begin January 6th)

Grade 7/8 Girls :  Wednesday mornings at 7:30am and one lunch hour practice per week on Mondays.

Grade 7 Boys:  Mondays 3:30PM to 5:00PM and Wednesdays from 5:00PM to 6:30PM

Grade 8 Boys: Mondays 5:00PM to 6:30PM and Wednesdays from 3:30PM to 5:00PM

 
Games:
Once we know how many teams are playing in our south division, we will be able to coordinate games.
We will most likely have:
  • 1 exhibition tournament during the day at EESS during the week of Jan 27th to 30th
  • 2 mini tournament nights from 4pm-7pmish. Once every two weeks. This would be our round robin play and these games would count towards league standings.
  • 1 semi-final mini tournament night to determine who would go to crossovers (hoping for March 4th)
  • Crossover tournament that would be played during the day on March 11th at one of the North schools.
 
7/8 Girls Confirmed Games:
  • January 30th exhibition games during the day at EESS - forms to be handed out in January
  • Feb 13th @ EESS (3pm-6:00pm) - will book bus there and back.
  • Feb 19th @ SMS (3:30-6:00pm) - students will need to find rides to SMS and home.
  • Feb 25th @ DUG vs Anola - 3:30-5:00pm
  • March 4th - if we finish in top 4 places, they will play an all day tournament at EESS to decide who goes to crossovers
 
Grade 7 Boys Confirmed Games:
  • Feb 12th @DUG at 4:45 and 5:45
  • Feb 26th @SMS at 5:45
  • March 4th@ DUG at 3:45
 
Grade 8 Boys Confirmed Games:
  • Feb 12th @SMS at 5:45
  • Feb 26th @DUG at 3:45 and 5:45
  • March 4th @SMS at 3:45
 
Invitational Tournaments:
We have been invited to Valley Gardens tournaments in Jan and Feb. Please have your child bring back their form ASAP so we know whether or not we have enough students to commit to this tournament. If you do commit, please keep this in mind if other things happen to come up as we will only enter if we have enough kids to make it worth it and every students' attendance is important. (form sent home is attached above)

             Grade 7/8 Girls Invitational: January 24th/25th 

             Grade 8 Boys Invitational: February 21st/22nd
