ÉDS Dragons Place 2nd in Nationals!

On Saturday, April 26, two Rocket League teams from our school represented Dugald at the Esport Canada EDU Scholastic National '25, a National tournament with U15 teams from all across the country.  Our students competed against students up to Grade 9 from across Canada and our Red Dragons (Eric Poirier, Isaac Suderman, and Brennan Kapkey) placed SECOND in Canada, and our Black Dragons (Ashton Chartrand, Jake Dyck, Everett Holberg, and Liam Nault) placed second in the Consolation bracket!
  

We also had 5 shoutcasters come to the school this Saturday to help us capture the event for our community.  Huge thanks to UV Bharj, Shaurya Upadhyay, Graeme Klassen, Claire Potapinski, and Jacob Durksen for an amazing job.

We have collected all of the match links below for you to watch.  The Red Dragons also competed on the OFFICIAL playoff stream for their last two matches, so we have two links for each.  We are so proud of our teams and hope you get a chance to see their hard work, talent, and teamwork on display.

 

One more moment to remind everyone that our Meat and Cheese Fundraiser Forms went out on Friday.  I am attaching a Digital Copy here in case anyone needs one.  If you need some printed out for you please let us know. This is a really important fundraiser for us.  The money helps us ensure that students can compete with us regardless of whether they can afford equipment.  There are a lot of students who connect with our school through our program, and your help in promoting our fundraiser ensures the longevity of our program.  Thanks for your support!  Forms and Money are due back on May 8th!
