What an incredible day for scholastic esports in Manitoba! On November 29, École Dugald School had the privilege of taking part in the Middle Years portion of the MSEA 2025 Fall Split Provincial Playoffs featuring Rocket League—an event proudly sponsored by Winnipeg School Division and hosted at Kelvin High School. Nearly 200 students competed across six divisions, filling the gym with energy, teamwork, and outstanding sportsmanship.

A huge thank you to the parents, coaches, volunteers, casters, and athletes who helped make this event such a success. Your support helps create meaningful opportunities for students, and our Dragons truly rose to the occasion with poise, character, and impressive talent.

This year also marked the debut of the Game Changers Division, created to support girls and gender diverse students in esports. Congratulations to the Gordon Bell Panthers on claiming the inaugural championship, and to our ÉDS Sapphire Dragons for their incredible second-place finish.

ÉDS teams had a remarkable day across all divisions, highlighted by two teams qualifying for the Esport Canada EDU National Championships on December 6:
ÉDS White Dragons and ÉDS Black Dragons. More information will be shared with those teams early next week.
